Analysis Cubes
Analysis Cubes are a tool for easy updating and refreshing of your data-warehouses within Dynamics GP. Analysis Cubes are commonly used in conjunction with another reporting option, like Excel Pivot Tables.
Crystal Reports
Crystal Reports are predefined reports designed to deliver the same output on some periodic basis. Think of these as your daily, weekly or monthly reports. These are traditionally run manually.
Management Reporter
Management Reporter is the provided solution for Financial Reports in Microsoft Dynamics GP. Users who have been around may recall FRx. Management Reporter is very similar in output and functionality to FRx.
Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, or SSRS for short, is very similar to Crystal Reports in that the reports are predefined and deliver specific data periodically. Unlike Crystal Reports, SSRS is provided FREE of charge with your SQL deployment. SSRS Reports can be either scheduled and delivered automatically or manually run.
Microsoft Power BI
Microsoft Power BI is a business analytics service which aims to provide interactive business intelligence to end users most commonly through dashboards.
Report Writer
Report Writer is the residual reporting tool inside of Dynamics GP. This tool has been around since the beginning of GP and offers many options used every day by end users. Modifications to existing reports can be difficult but most things are doable.
SmartLists
SmartLists is the default adhoc reporting solution available in Dynamics GP. This is the most widely used reporting tool. SmartList Designer brings this tool to a whole new level, allowing end users to modify existing SmartLists or create new ones.
